I like Dan even though I never met him aside from ham radio, B.R.H.(before Riley Hollingsworth). I'm "Doc,"AF2Y who, before moving to this becockte town house complex in Oct.2000, was the world's greatest ham. I was a powerhouse using my TR4C sans linear and a "Cloudwarmer" wire beam but when I, later on, kicked in the linear, I used to kick Pittsburgh's Pete Mort's ass when it came to snagging DX. Getting back to "Jezzie," for years I heard him get a bad rap by cold hearted sadistic detractors, the worse being a ham in VT called David Tolassi. Dan suffered war injuries in Nam. Add to that, traumatic stress syndrome and it meant that the guy needed encouragement and understanding, NOT defamation.I used to come to Dan's defense over and over again because helping decent people is what life's all about. By the way, I have a complete copy of Dan's military records and I'm telling you it's guys like he who kept us free and it'll take guys like he to keep us free. And so that wraps it up for now. I'm happy to post a few words on Dan's blog and wish all who might read this, good health and good luck.

The BS is a lot worse now a days. We got VE7KFM making attacks on the US and her people on a near daily basis. Filthy discusting speech that I never heard in the Mosquito Bar in Bangkok, Thailand.
Dan, Good to read what Doc. wrote, he can see and knows more than many of us. I know many have Thanked you an others for your service, so we at home can sleep in peace. Knowing you an others fought an given lives for Our Freedom, like you, others are there fighting because they want Freedom.
The lady tells of a rusty pick up truck, a father an son in the bed of the truck, saluting her son as they drive by heading to the cemetery to lay her son to rest. In Canada, if they knew of karol madera ve7kfm, wishing "Road Side Bombs" to the troops, they would be pissed! The Canadian lady's son was killed by a road side bomb. Perhaps karol madera ve7kfm of BC. of Tillicum Rd. Would speak to this lady in Canada, explain how much better off the son is, how life will be for the mother/father with out the son that madera wished the road side bombs on. How it is Bush's fault for wanting "Peace, Freedom" around the world and home in the USA. Perhaps karol madera ve7kfm can explain how does Bush make the sons in Canada go over to fight and Die for the USA? Wait for it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, forgot, karol madera ve7kfm of BC is a "SICK PERSON" what will the lady of the lost son, in Canada, think of karol madera ve7kfm now??

Dan, great honor serving with you, even though at different parts of the world. Some have paid different prices. I actually had a lady see my Vietnam Bumper sticker and asked me if I had served in RVN. I humbly acknowledged I had and she said thanks for serving. She couldn't have been more than 27 or so. That made me feel proud to have been a part of a historic event. I didn't bring back any "souvenirs" (pins in me or disfigurement, or the such), but I empathize with those who do and know, even though it was a "police action", to the grunt dodging bullets, or someone sliding down a pit, getting ready to be impaled on a bungi stick, to each of those, they are in a war.

If these assholes ever had a clue I would keel over from shock.

Thanks for the link! I wish this was going on in our country but it seems the radicals who hate our country go to each of our fallen soldiers funeral to push their hate agenda. If we had road side cheering for them these same radicals would show up to insure that got ruined as well.
