Something to think about

Hollingsworth: "The overall compliance is outstanding in the Amateur Radio Service, but never let the Commission get by again with handing you 10 to 12 years of neglect.

"You have to stay vigilant. Even though the bands may sound better you have to stay vigilant to protect your service and to be part of the solution, not the problem.

"And operate as if the whole world was listening, because generally it is."

Hollingsworth adds that the last thing that ham radio needs is any sort of in-fighting. He indicates its very important that all of us stick together and work out our differences as mature individuals for the betterment of all licensees

Dan,

I agree with him. Maybe if nobody responded to the likes of Karol he would simply go away. I've been hearing a lot of people jumping on frequency as soon as Karol says CQ, but 99% of the time he calls CQ on top of current QSO's pretending he has the frequncy anytime he feels like it.

So, ignoring him won't help because he will jump on top of anybody who is on the air and will start the QRM talk instantly.

What will work is enforcement, Riley should be working much harder with the IC to enforce their rules since he points his beam straight into the US to break not only Canada's rules but our rules.

Unfortunately he will continue no matter how American Amateur Operators respond to him because he creates his own QRM and people get disgusted with his rhetoric and feel compelled to respond.

I digress, VE7KFM will continue until his equipment renders him off air and he can't afford to get back on or he expires of natural causes.

So what you're saying is you think Caroline should be left alone to his own devices or QRM the bastard into last week? After all he is QRM incarnate! His signal has been so weak lately anyway, that amplifier is going kaput! Listen to his recordings, you can hear the amplifier fans struggling to keep up with his hot air! It warms my heart to hear it struggle so much. keep it up Carol! That amp might blow loud enough to hear on the east coast!
