Dan Jeswald is a personal friend of mine. I have the utmost respect for him as well as his honorable service in the Vietnam war. Dan did not spend the war in Germany on a bar stool. He actually fought in country and was wounded. I notice that all of the negative comments about Dan's service are from people who never even served in the military, much less combat. This activity only serves to re-inforce the cowardice in the gutless wonders to start with. I was brought up to respect my elders, and to always respect a senior veteran. If you are reading this and do not understand, you never will. And that is pretty sad.

Damn you folks can't get anything right can you? I don't belong nor to I attend AND VFW Functions.
You see back during the Vietnam War and several years down the line, they would not allow Nam vets to join.
It seems they want us now, but I refuse to join them.
The ONLY Veteran organization I maintain any membership with is the Disabled Veterans of America, of which I have been a life member for over 20 years. This is the only Veterans Group that REQUIRES PROOF of Disability related to Military Service.
I am thinking of Joining up with the Vietnam Veterans of America tho. They have a good chapter here.

Actually, there is no mental examine for a pilot's license, maybe a commercial license but not of a SPORT LICENSE, As a matter of fact the medical exam for a Sports licenses is a valid drivers license. anyway I look at this way if i get my license that's OK, but if not, I'll fly ultralights, they don't require license. I've been flying ultralights for years, and without the requirement of a license. so either way it a win win for me.
